The passenger tried to push the woman while the vehicle was driving next to her on the road. Another driver noticed this and confronted the two individuals sitting in the vehicle with French number plates.
The driver of the vehicle then reached for a can, which turned out to be pepper spray, and sprayed the witness in the face. The two culprits escaped and drove towards Frisange. An initial search was unsuccessful, and an investigation has been launched.
According to the police, the woman was not injured. The witness received treatment on site and was able to carry on driving afterwards.
