New data from the National Health Directorate reveals a sharp decline in influenza cases this week, even as infections from RSV show a modest increase.
According to the latest report from the National Health Directorate, the number of new influenza infections has fallen sharply, while cases of the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) have seen a slight uptick.
Flu cases dropped by 42% this week, decreasing from 555 to 321. In contrast, RSV infections rose by 3% compared to the previous week, with a total of 92 confirmed cases now recorded in Luxembourg, the Directorate announced in a press release.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 infections also declined, falling from 73 cases last week to 66 this week.
