
Jean Asselborn's message was conveyed via the Twitter account of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. He expressed his shock over the cruel events and reassured France of Luxembourg's solidarity in the "fight against terrorism and the defence of universal values".
Numerous commemoration services were organised across France on Sunday to honour the memory of the terror victim. More than 12,000 people assembled in Lyon, 3,000 in Strasbourg, 2,500 in Marseille, 2,000 in Montpellier, and 1,500 in Lille.
