Suspended prison sentencesFormer Grosbusch S.A. bosses sentenced for fraud

RTL Today
The two former managers of the importer and distributor were fined €150,000 and received suspended prison sentences of 9 months.

The brothers were accused of tax fraud, misappropriation of accounts, money laundering and misappropriation of social goods worth millions.

According to reports by Paperjam and Reporter.lu, the sentences were negotiated between the brothers’ lawyers and the public prosecutor’s office, before they were validated by magistrates. This process, known as a “jugement sur accord” (judgement on agreement) meant the accused avoided a public trial.
