On Saturday, police arrested four individuals suspected of being involved in shoplifting.
A first theft was reported to the authorities in the early evening at a pharmacy on Avenue de la Gare. The supervisor had caught a person in the act and alerted a security guard who then confronted the suspect and prevented them from fleeing.
Police were called to the scene and arrested the suspect.
The accused will be called in front of a judge on Sunday 14 February.
A further theft was reported around 8 pm, this time in a shopping center on Boulevard Alphonse Weicker. On arrival, the police apprehended three suspects, finding more than €1,000 of goods in their possession.
All the stolen items were confiscated and the three individuals will also be hauled in front of a judge this Sunday.
