Commuters faced significant delays on the A6 motorway heading toward Luxembourg City on Wednesday morning following a serious accident.
The collision occurred between the Mamer and Bridel interchanges. As a result, the overtaking lane remains closed to traffic. Emergency services from the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) are currently at the scene.
By approximately 10.30am, the disruption had caused tailbacks stretching for around five kilometres in the area.
In an unrelated incident, the CGDIS also responded to a roof fire on Rue de Redange in Ell. Authorities have confirmed that no injuries were reported in this incident.
