The illegal hearing by the Secret Service affair in the context of the 'Bommeleer' case dating back to 2017 will not lead to a trial against Gast Gybérien, as confirmed during a press conference on Friday morning.
A verdict that was delivered about a month ago says that parliamentary immunity covers up the use of information about dysfunctions in government services.
ADR MP Gybérien was allegedly aware of the illegal hearing and asked a parliamentary question about the subject. In this way, he was said to be taking advantage of this so-called parliamentary immunity.
Gast Gybérien informed PM Xavier Bettel about the fact that he had been aware of the affair for two weeks, but he did not disclose from whom he got the information.
As a consequence, Doris Woltz, president of the Secret Service, filed a formal complaint against an unknown person.
