During the council meeting the mayor, David Viaggi, pointed out that Google has met the municipality's concerns and worries halfway on several occasions. The dimensions of the project have been noticeably adjusted.

The mayor acknowledged that there was still a long way to go. For instance there were executive project agreements, studies on the environmental impact and commodo (operating permit) procedures to be performed. Only then, said the mayor, could he grant the construction permission.

The college of the mayor and aldermen promises to take into account the grievances of the locals and push for the necessary adjustments.

This Thursday, the project has again been heavily criticised. The CSV was clearly disappointed with the lack of information and claimed the PAP was not sufficiently detailed and could not deliver the necessary guarantees.
