The Grand Duke was accompanied by Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Minister of Health Paulette Lenert. They were given a presentation by René Steinhaus, CEO of Lux-Airport, and Jean-Luc Dourson, director of Bionext, on the plan to fight coronavirus.

Since the opening of the testing centre, different testing formats have been offered to visitors entering the country. This strategy has helped to control and limit infections, especially at this critical time with holidaymakers returning from abroad at risk of spread the virus.

Recognising the importance of testing in the fight against coronavirus, the Head of State took a test himself and encouraged citizens and travellers to get themselves tested and continue to respect existing sanitary measures.
