Two weeks after a bus crash in Luxembourg City's Gare district left three people injured when the vehicle struck a car and a building, authorities have now confirmed the incident was caused by the driver failing to apply the handbrake.

On Tuesday 14 April, an accident occurred in Luxembourg City in which a bus first struck a car before crashing into a building façade. Three people were injured.

Speaking on Monday during a council meeting, alderman in charge of city transport, Patrick Goldschmidt from the Democratic Party (DP), explained that the driver had got out of the vehicle at a stop but forgot to apply the handbrake. According to Goldschmidt, the driver is no longer allowed to operate a bus, as he told L'Essentiel.
