For each category (Children and Young Adolescents, non-fiction, and fiction), five books were on the shortlists.
The jury of the Luxembourg Book Awards 2022 – Nicole Sahl (National Centre for Literature), Jemp Schuster (author), Hélène Dom (Agence Repères), Jeff Thill (bookshop owner), and Mylène Branco (Uni.lu) – chose their five favourites from a total of 66 books in the categories fiction, children’s / YA book, and non-fiction.
These shortlists were presented during a press conference in early October. The winners of the different categories were announced during a ceremony at Centre Prince Henri in Walferdange. Besides the three winners selected by the jury, there was also a people’s choice award. Members of the public were asked to vote for their favourite book out of the 15 nominees across all three categories.
