The mercury will drop significantly over the next few days, with a forecast of 19 -21°C on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Evenings and nights will be notably cooler, dropping to 10 -12°C from Saturday until next Wednesday.
Although some sun may still be possible, expect cloudy skies before rain showers arrive midweek.
The forecast should please those who struggled to cope with the recent scorching temperatures.
On the other side of the border in France, a large part of the Grand Est has been placed on yellow alert, predicting thunderstorms and temperatures similar to Luxembourg.
