The chain of events was triggered when 20 hospital employees, who claim to have been tormented and harassed for months by one of their supervisors, decided to take their complaint all the way up to the president of CHEM's administrative council. The events were subsequently covered in the news by RTL, to which the council has now issued an official reaction.
The statement notes that the council is currently analysing the issue in depth. The staff's well-being is considered a top priority and numerous efforts were conducted over recent years to gradually improve work conditions at the hospital, the document further conveys.
In terms of work place harassment, a special commission was formed to investigate the nature of the incidents. The administrative council emphasises its willingness to engage in a dialogue with all involved parties, but also underlines that defamatory statements will not be left uncommented.
