Drink enough

The ministry stressed the importance of drinking at least 1.5 litres of water per day. You should ideally refrain from drinking excessive amounts of tea/coffee and very sugary beverages.

Don't stay in the sun for too long

It's best to avoid the sun. Make sure to use sunscreen and to wear a cap or a hat if you're sunbathing.

Avoid exhausting activities

The ministry recommends against exercising or engaging in other physically exhausting activities, particularly during the hottest hours of the day.

Keep windows and doors shut

Keeping your windows open during the day will not make your room any cooler - quite the opposite. Ventilate your home early in the morning or late in the evening once temperatures have dropped again.
