A man who was reportedly under the combined effects of heat and alcohol was arrested following an altercation at a petrol station.

According to the police, a fight was reported to them on Wednesday afternoon at a petrol station on Rue Denis Netgen in Schifflange, in which a man involved had been injured. At the scene, officers and the emergency services found three people and a damaged car.

One of the individuals was clearly intoxicated. The uncooperative man, who insulted the police officers and, due to his condition, was a danger to himself and others, was taken into custody. He was also reported for insulting an officer.

Licence confiscated in Diekirch

Police also reported that a woman was stopped by police in Diekirch on Thursday night after being reported earlier at Place Guillaume. After failing a breathalyser test, her driving licence was confiscated.
