
Minster Schneider addressed the project of a decentralised, ambulant private doctor's office in Junglinster, which he believes to be crossing the line and no longer fitting into scenario three of the social security arrangement. He noted that the subject is also currently being discussed by the Health Round Table, and that the help of all involved parties is necessary to find a solution. Furthermore, he underlined that with the new set of regulations, it was impossible for international actors to open medical offices for profit in the Grand Duchy.

When it comes to the coverage of psychotherapeutic treatments, Minister Schneider explained that preparations are well-underway so that a convention between the National Health Fund (CNS) and the psychotherapist association (FAPSYLUX) can be signed soon.
The LSAP politician also emphasised that the direct payment mechanism will become operational in 2023, which means that patients will only have to pay the amount not covered by the CNS following a doctor's appointment.
