City buses running on Boulevard Adenauer in Kirchberg will be diverted starting Sunday, as construction work on the new tram line enters a new phase in May.

From Sunday, 3 May, a number of bus routes in the neighbourhood will follow diversions. The affected buses will no longer be able to use a section of Boulevard Adenauer, which will be converted to one-way traffic in the direction from Luxexpo to the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge.

Lines 6, 16, 18, 21, 86, and 88 travelling towards the city centre will be diverted via Rue Erasme, Rue Alcide de Gasperi, and Rue du Fort Niedergrünewald. The Jean Monnet Quai 2 and B.E.I. Quai 2 stops will be removed and replaced by Léon Hengen Quai 2, Niedergrünewald Quai 2, and Philharmonie/MUDAM Quai 2.

Lines 25, 81, and 82 heading towards Weimerskirch will be diverted via Rue Erasme, Rue Alcide de Gasperi, and Rue Charles-Léon Hammes. The Jean Monnet Quai 2 stop will be removed and replaced by Léon Hengen Quai 2 and a temporary stop, Jean Monnet Quai 4, located on Rue Charles-Léon Hammes.

According to the tram construction site schedule, these changes will remain in effect until spring 2027.

Boulevard Adenauer will be one-way at the EIB. Buses will be diverted to the next street.
