The website colonies.lu is the perfect starting point if you are looking for a summer camp for your kiddo, as it lists all the available camps and you can search through them according to age. Inscriptions can be made directly on the site and most of the time if a camp is already fully booked you can be put on a waiting list. Moreover, the website does not only list camps for the summer holidays but also for every other school holiday. So it's a good one to bookmark - we certainly have!
To give you an idea of what's available, here's five that we thought sounded cool:
- Hills, sun and fun, 27.07 - 10.08.2019: Aimed at children aged 8-12 his camp takes the kids to Austria for a fun mountain holiday. Children can expect a lot of outdoor activities and a day trip to Salzburg. The camp is organised by Young Caritas and costs €750.
-Holiday time in nature, 28.07 - 03.08.2019: Taking place in Cinqufontaines, in the North of the country, children aged 6-12 can look forward to daily activities in Nature. On selected days, trips to Ettelbruck or the pool will be organised. The camp is organised by the European Association for the Eifel and Ardennes and costs €289.
- Adventure Camp 07, 04.08 - 16.08.2019: This trip offers a real camping experience for young adults aged 14-17. They will sleep in tents, cook their food over the camp fire and spend a lot of time in Nature. Taking place in the Ardèche the camp also offers trip to historical French cities. Organised by Young Caritas, this camp costs €680.
- Science Summer Splashhttps://www.colonies.lu/evenement/sproochcamp-fir-englesch-zu-swanage-gb, 18.08-21.08.2019: This camp offers the perfect mixture between science, fun and sports for young adults aged 12-16. Taking place in Lultzhausen participants can expect a lot of water games in the reservoir. The camp costs €280 and is organised by the Service National de Juenesse.
- Sports and fun in Sicily , 01.09.-08.09.2019: While staying in a Club Med, participants aged 11-17 can expect a lot of different activities revolving around sports. Other creative workshops and animation in the evenings are available. Organised by the Foyer de la Femme, this camp cost €950.
