Spring will have to wait: from Wednesday, light snow showers are expected in Luxembourg, accompanied by strong winds.
Although spring arrived on 20 March, winter – which retreated early this year – is making a brief return.
On Wednesday, 25 March, the day will start with very chilly temperatures near 0°C, rising to 10°C later in the day. Showers with wintry precipitation are expected throughout the day. In the evening, Meteolux does not rule out a mix of rain and snow, which could form a thin layer on the ground. Gusts of wind may exceed 60 km/h.
On Thursday, winds will calm, but temperatures will drop to -1°C. Light snow showers are still expected, though rain will likely wash the flakes away fairly quickly.
On Friday, temperatures will dip to -3°C in the morning before rising to 8°C during the day. Skies should remain dry. Snow may make another brief appearance over the weekend.
