A new campaign, thought up by the agency BVK (based out of Milwaukee), centres on getting back to nature.
Or, more specifically, nude drinking.
Thus 'Drink in the Boff', a playful spin on doing anything in the 'Buff', or, more simply....naked, was coined.
The image series drops regular Adam and Eves into picturesque spots and encourage the enjoyment of Bofferding as nature 'intended'.
Bofferding, brewed by Brasserie Nationale founded in 1842 has been exporting to the USA for a litte under fiver years thanks to a deal brokered with Ansay International.
Mike Ansay and his daughter, Kate Ansay, formed Ansay International after stocking and selling Bofferding for a festival in Belgium, Wisconsin where they promptly sold out in hours. Such was the popularity of the beer that the Ansay's seized the opportunity to begin a new adventure. That was in 2014, and their company has been growing steadily ever since.
Ansay International signed as distributing partners in 2018 and are being very vocal about their love for Lux product, importing alongisde Bofferding, Vinsmoselle, Ramborn Coider and Moutarderie de Luxembourg.Check out their rewards program here. And, if you are to enjoy a beer in your birthday suit be sure to do so responsibly.
However, the advert was perhaps considered a bit too cheeky in the United States and required a bit of censoring. Nevertheless, Bofferding took it in their stride...and had a great response to the change.
