
It's not the first that Luxembourg Air Rescue plays a key role in terms of international cooperation. They have transferred 20 patients from France's Grand Est region since the outbreak of the pandemic.
One of the five patients in intensive care was transported to Dresden and two to Bremen, both in Germany. The remaining two were taken from Metz to Nîmes, France.
The president of Luxembourg Air Rescue explained this Monday that they had trained their staff early for infectious disease management - a decision that is now bearing fruit.
