Half a year after the public debate, ULC president Nico Hoffmann has expressed his 'heavy disappointment' at the lack of consequences following the petition. One of the main points mentioned in the debate was the establishment of a charter with the banking association ABBL. However, Hoffmann said that no movement occurred at the September meeting.

The head of the ULC also pointed out that it appears that there will be no legislative improvements, as promised by Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna at the time. The association also regrets that the new Minister for Consumer Protection has not shared any information concerning the topic.

Nevertheless, the ULC remains mobilised and has not excluded the possibility of protest action.
