Nicolas's sister Catherine decided to take matters into her own hands and travel to Bolivia to find her brother.
As we reported in an earlier article, she has above all deplored the lack of help from the Luxembourgish authorities:"The Luxembourgish police does not give a toss! Every time we contact them we're told 'this isn't our issue', 'contact the Bolivian police'. They've even accused us of filing the report too late."
Luxembourg police have reacted to the accusations on Friday morning. When questioned by RTL, police deputy chief and spokesman Frank Stoltz said he was "sorry when he read that Luxemourg police did not 'give a toss'." He also said that he understood the "distress of the family."
He underlined that Luxembourg police were taking the case very seriously. He added that they were "in regular contact with Interpol and the Polish authorities."The Grand Ducal police "took all the necessary and possible steps," he said. SIS and Interpol were contacted the same day that Holzem's sister alerted Luxembourg's police.
