Aldo Iamandi was sought after for an attempted murder, which took place in Remich on 24 November 2020. He is suspected to have fired a weapon and seriously injured a person by doing so. His international arrest warrant was issued on 11 Februar this year.
Iamandi was finally arrested by Belgian authorities in Brussels two days ago and was already presented to an examining magistrate. Luxembourgish authorities have in the meantime forwarded all necessary extradition documents to their Belgian colleagues.
