The Luxembourg City councilman and deputy from Déi Gréng and was a guest at RTL Radio on Thursday morning.

Benoy noted that the financial impact of the corona crisis was clearly visible by now and that it would show the importance of learning from past mistakes to better prepare for future crises.

The deputy is tasked with the 2021 budgetary report. Taking climate change seriously counts as a top priority, as well as developing a sustainable economy and a stable health care system. Benoy also emphasised the importance of committing to long-term investments. He noted that even though debts will have to be made, they would be repaid through the investment into the country's future. The logistical infrastructure of the Grand Duchy is considered another point in need of improvement.

Benoy also talked about future tax reforms and the importance of adapting them to better protect and unburden the most vulnerable among us. He is furthermore a member of the capital's municipal council, where he stands in opposition to the mobility policies by the DP and CSV majority. He believes that a number of opportunities for extensions of pedestrian and cycling lanes had been missed.
