Neighbours alerted the police to a potential confrontation around 11.20pm after hearing screams coming from the house of the victim.
When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that the former couple had met up to talk. However, a fight broke out and the man began attacking his former partner.
The victim was brought to a hospital for a check-up after the assault. Police arrested the perpetrator by order of the prosecutor’s office.
