On Thursday afternoon, officers were alerted to an incident in Oberkorn in which a minor had allegedly been given a white substance, suspected to be cocaine, by a man. According to initial findings, the teenager had helped the man load his wheelchair. In return, he was handed a container holding the substance.
The suspect was later identified during the investigation. A subsequent search of his home led to the seizure of additional narcotics and drug-related paraphernalia. Acting on the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, police arrested the man, who was brought before an examining magistrate shortly afterwards.
Later that evening, police were called to Rue Philippe II in Luxembourg City following a confrontation between several individuals. Multiple patrols responded to the scene and arrested three suspects. Officers seized two kitchen knives, an iron bar and a stick wrapped in a chainsaw chain.
Initial reports suggest the three individuals had previously been involved in an altercation with another group before the fight on Rue Philippe II. The other group had already fled by the time police arrived. Among those arrested was a minor, and the relevant authorities were notified.
