Brutal déja-vuMan attacked twice by same person in Luxembourg City

RTL Today
A man seemed to have incredibly poor luck on Monday after he was attacked twice by the same individual.

A man was assaulted in front of a bar on Allée Scheffer just after midnight on Monday. The perpetrator mugged the victim and stole his mobile phone. The victim tried to stop the thief on Rue Jean l'Aveugle, but the man managed to escape. However, not long after the incident, the man encountered the thief again - in front of the same bar.

This second time, the thief was not alone and he and two other men beat the victim up. The victim reported the crime to the police.

This was not the only assault case to occur in the early hours on Monday. A man was mugged between Avenue de la Gare and Rue Nothomb in Esch-sur-Alzette at around 12.15am. Four men pushed him onto the ground and stole his wallet, injuring the man in the process. The muggers ran away in the direction of Rue de la Libération.

Another would-be mugger attempted to assault a man on Rue de Strasbourg by the Central station. The perpetrator ripped the man's necklace from his throat, but the victim defended himself and hit the mugger. Then, the perpetrator threatened the victim at knife point, but ultimately ended up dropping the necklace and fleeing in the direction of Avenue de la Gare. Whilst the man was able to keep his possessions, he reported the crime to the police.
