Several drivers were caught surpassing the 90 km/h limit over the course of the weekend. In four instances, the speed infringements were significant enough for an immediate confiscation of the driving license. The culprits can also expect to receive a legal notice.
One of the remaining drivers caught speeding in the motorway tunnel received a provisional driving ban in the morning. Despite the penalty, the man continued using his car throughout the day, and was subsequently caught again that same evening. Following the second offence, his vehicle was seized and he will face charges.
