A local resident alerted the police to the extreme noises a car made on the street, which were described as sounding like the car was driving on its wheel rims. The police subsequently searched for the car in question, which was found at a petrol station soon after.
Indeed, the front wheel of the vehicle was completely destroyed and stress marks on the pavement suggested that the driver had crashed into a traffic island. The analysis of nearby marks further showed that the vehicle also damaged another island in front of a fast food restaurant.
The alcohol test was positive, meaning the man received a provisional driving ban.
