The Ministry of Higher Education and the Umbrella Organisation of Luxembourg Student Associations (ACEL) have agreed that the 40th edition of the Student Fair will be held at the Coque sports centre in late October.
The ministry and ACEL confirmed the decision in a press release on Friday.
The agreement follows lengthy discussions triggered by ACEL's dissatisfaction with Esch-Belval as the location for recent editions of the fair. The 40th edition is now scheduled to take place on Thursday 29 October and Friday 30 October, at the national sporting and cultural centre in the Kirchberg neighbourhood of Luxembourg City.
The 2026 edition will also be expanded. In addition to the traditional booths run by various student associations, greater emphasis will be placed on vocational orientation and volunteering. In doing so, the ministry and ACEL aim to provide young people with more guidance for their future planning, whether they choose an academic or a vocational path.
