
During the presentation, Minister for Education Claude Meisch elaborated on the notion of a productive learning and work environment, and the need to face and resolve challenges as they occur along the way. The DP politician further announced that in the "Cycle 4" of primary education, a coding class would be introduced in the future as an adaptive measure to the ever-growing demand for technological and digital skillsets.
Another novelty comes in form of the so-called "Diplôme +" programme, which helps young graduates with the transition phase between high school and work life, or higher education respectively. The programme takes one year, during which additional courses can be taken as a preparation for future endeavours.
High schools will add new focal points to their curricula, such as finance, marketing, and media. Furthermore, a public college will be created in Esch to cater for the domain of adult education in Luxembourg.
