How many long-term sick leave certificates are provided for which illnesses has only been statistically analysed since the beginning of this year, which means the first figures stemming from the first half of the year are to be approached with caution.
Most sick notes were granted for reasons linked to bone, muscle or tendon issues, and these constituted around 6,000 of them (in the last 6 months). Finally, 1,100 people were unable to work due to a tumour of some kind.
