490 motorists were stopped and checked by the police at these locations. 12 of these had exceeded the authorised threshold of 0.5 per mile, but no licence was withdrawn.

On the A1 in the direction of Trier, a visibly hurried motorist overtook a police patrol much too quickly in the Cents tunnel. The officers chased the driver, who did not seem to want to slow down, until she finally stopped before being checked by the police. In addition to her speeding, she had clearly had too much alcohol to drive and thus had her licence immediately revoked. The car was also seized by the public prosecutor's office.

Practically the opposite happened on Saturday around 6am near boulevard Kennedy in Esch-sur-Alzette where a driver was driving very slowly. At the sight of the police officers, the visibly dizzy driver quickly put on his seatbelt before being stopped by the officers. The vehicle's papers were not in order and the man had also had too much to drink. Police consequently confiscated his driving licence and issued a fine.
