On Thursday, the Ambassador visited the Brasserie Nationale to see firsthand how Luxembourg’s Bofferding beer is brewed. The Ambassador actually enjoyed his first Bofferding already back in his home state of Wisconsin, one of the two states in the United States where one can find Bofferding.
Last week, the Ambassador and his wife enjoyed a culinary experience with Anne Faber, who introduced them to some of the local products and dishes, including Luxembourg’s beloved Rieslingspaschtéit and Kachkéis.
“Wisconsin is very much known to be the state of cheese and beer. I was very pleasantly surprised to see a similar food culture here in Luxembourg, which made me feel right at home. I must say, Kachkéis caught me by surprise and is not a cheese I have come across anywhere else. I did quite enjoy it though,” the Ambassador commented on his positive experience.
“I look forward to continuing to explore what more Luxembourg’s rich food and drink culture has to offer,” he added.
