Slowly yet steadily, the country's vaccination centres are closing their doors. The sites at Luxexpo, in Mondorf-les-Bains, and in Ettelbruck are about to be shut. Up until now, around 750,000 doses of a Covid-19 vaccine have been administered here in Luxembourg, with close to 375,000 people being fully vaccinated.

The Pfizer/BionTech jab has been administered the most, followed by AstraZeneca and Johnson&Johnson. Moderna has been used less in comparison, which is due to smaller deliveries. In general, most people accepted the jab they were offered, Dr Schmit conveyed.
Even though the centres are about to close their doors, people can still get vaccinated. This can either be done at a GP's office or with the help of the vaccine bus, an offer that turned out far more people than public health officials dared to anticipate.
The frequency of serological tests, which display antibodies, has also been increased. About 4,000 tests are done per week. Even if people show small levels of protection, they are still advised to get the Covid-19 jab.
