In a press release, the Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development announced that no live animals were to be exported from Luxembourg to Turkey for the next three months. The Veterinary Services Administration will therefore not issue any transportation authorisations from July to September 2019.

Minister Romain Schneider hopes that the ban will help to cultivate an interest in and adherence to animal welfare laws.
