Adria Airways bankruptNordica to take over Saarbrücken-Berlin flights

RTL Today
On Monday evening, Adria Airways, the airline that ran the Saarbrücken to Berlin flights for Luxair, announced that it had gone bankrupt via a message on its site.

Just a week ago, Luxair had advised that it had cancelled on flights on the route in question for 48 hours. The Slovenian airline signed an agreement with Luxair to take over the flight route in October 2017, which took effect as of the beginning of 2018.

Adria Airways took over the route after Air Berlin, who had previously run the flights, had declared bankruptcy. In August this year, the two partners entered further negotiations as the number of expected passengers had not been reached.

Luxair had been running flights between Saarbrücken and Berlin in the interim whilst Adria Airways had not yet announced it had filed for bankruptcy. Estonian airline Nordica will take over the flights in the future.
