Moderate successOnly 12% of digital patient files activated thus far

Four months after the “Dossier de soins partagé” (DSP) was launched, only a small fraction of people have initiated steps to activate their online accounts.

Following a parliamentary enquiry by MP Françoise Hetto (CSV), the ministers of health and social security conveyed that 915,000 so-called DSPs have been activated so far. Over three million documents have been uploaded into the system over that same time period.

Government officials now hope to increase enthusiasm with new campaigns, designed to inform both patients and doctors about the advantages of the digital platform. 361 doctors are already actively using the platform to document patient information.

New features and options will soon be introduced to make the system even more attractive for users. For instance, as of June, pictures of medical scans can be saved, which will finally help replace the outdated CD system.

The platform will also allow for medical prescriptions to be saved. Furthermore, an app is being developed to facilitate access to the files.
