Déi Gréng (the Greens) held a press briefing on Monday morning, where officials underlined the party's commitment to investing into the future.

The party used the opportunity of the press conference on Monday to reemphasise their desire make further investments, especially due to the given circumstances of the current time. Officials thus proclaimed that further debts should not be feared, as their priority areas clearly aimed at nurturing the country's future prospects.

Semiray Ahmedova announced that déi Gréng would be working on ambitious policies to counteract the nationwide housing issue. She underlined that the private market would no longer be capable of coping with demand on its own: "We will channel our efforts to expand the offer of public housing, with a special focus on renting possibilities. Our goal is to improve long-term planning and transparency."

Around 1,000 apartments are set to be completed each year, starting 2021. The party further created a new legal basis for shared living: "Sharing a flat is a move of solidarity, which is why we have to support the initiative and not let vague regulations lead to the exploitation of people."

François Benoy addressed the party's environmental and climate policies, which are set to be improved via their zero-emission-strategy: "Our transition into a climate neutral society needs to be possible and affordable for everyone. We therefore have to work together so that all citizens can benefit from improved living conditions."

In the domain of monument conservation, the party aims at improving transparency so that all concerned actors can join efforts to protect the nation's cultural heritage.
