The attack was committed shortly before midnight in front of a bank at the place de l'Hôtel de Ville.
According to the police, a group of 5 to 6 men surrounded and injured the victim, before escaping the scene.
The person depicted in the images is suspected to have participated in the attack. The police welcomes any witnesses who can provide information on the identity of the culprits, either via telephone (244 501000) or via mail (esch-ci-esch@police.etat.lu).
