Following a brawl in Differdange on Tuesday evening, one person sustained knife injuries to the buttocks and required hospitalisation.
Police received reports of a brawl involving multiple people on Rue Emile Mark at around 10.30pm. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found an individual with knife wounds to the buttocks. After receiving initial medical treatment on-site, the victim was taken to hospital.
According to preliminary information, the victim had been approached by two individuals. Due to communication difficulties, the victim allegedly ignored them at first. One of the suspects then inflicted the knife injury, which sparked a larger altercation involving other people. The victim and a companion fled on foot.
Shortly afterwards, the person accompanying the victim also noticed that someone had broken into their vehicle.
Despite launching a large-scale manhunt, the police have so far been unable to arrest the culprits. Investigations are ongoing.
