On the orders of the public prosecutor's office, the police carried out alcohol checks between late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.

Between 00.45am and 3.30am, drivers were checked in Redange and Préizerdaul. 34 people were pulled over. In one case, the test came back positive, and the driver received a penalty notice. No driving licences were confiscated.

Shortly before 4am, police in Wasserbillig noticed a vehicle that was speeding and had its lights out. The driver turned out to be inebriated and had to hand over their licence.

In Luxembourg City, a car drove past a police patrol and ignored several red lights and traffic signs. The breathalyser test came back positive, and the driver had their driving licence confiscated.
