On Friday night, two drunk drivers had their licences confiscated in Wickrange and Esch-sur-Alzette respectively.

In Wickrange, an eyewitness reported at around 6 p.m. that they had seen a car driving around recklessly. The police intervened and discovered that the driver in question was intoxicated. Their driving licence was confiscated, and the vehicle seized.

In Esch-sur-Alzette, a police patrol pulled over a driver at 3 am to check why they were out past the 11 pm curfew. During the check, the officers noticed a distinct smell of alcohol and decided to carry out a breathalyser test, which came back positive. The driver had to hand over their licence and received two fines, one for DUI and another for non-compliance with the curfew.
