In a Facebook post on Saturday, the police reminded motorcyclists that they should bear road safety in mind alongside the enjoyment of cruising along.
As a result, both yesterday and today, the police have and will be carrying out increased checks on roads that are particularly popular amongst motorcyclists. Mainly the traffic checks are a reaction to recurring motorcycle crashes.
