The police have appealed for witnesses to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Frisange on Thursday.

A car hit a pedestrian on Route de Mondorf in Frisange just after 6pm on Thursday. The pedestrian was dragged along the ground by the impact and is in a life-threatening condition, the police report. The road was completely closed off after the accident.

The victim, who has critical injuries, was treated by an emergency doctor and taken to hospital. On Friday, the police launched a call for witnesses to help ascertain the cause of the accident. Any information pertaining to the incident should be transmitted to the Réiserbann police station at 244611000.
