On Sunday evening, a police patrol in Steinfort noticed a motorist on Rue de Luxembourg who first stopped in the middle of the road before driving off towards Windhof. Officers stopped and checked the driver. A breathalyser test came back positive and his driving licence was immediately confiscated.
Also on Sunday, police received a report of a car lying in a ditch in Kehlen. A patrol quickly arrived at the scene and found the driver, who showed clear signs of having been drinking. He was taken to hospital for further tests. His driving licence was withdrawn and, on the orders of the public prosecutor, the vehicle was seized.
