The incident occurred on Monday evening, at about 7.30 pm. Fire fighters arrived in time and were able to put out the fire before it could spread to the rest of the forest.
Two more places were found which show signs of attempted arson.
A civilian was able to put out one of the fires while the fire did not ignite at the third location.
In view of these incidents, police are requesting anyone who may have seen suspect individuals in the proximity of the forest between 4 pm and 7 pm to get in touch with authorities by calling +352 244921000 or writing an e-mail to police.atert@police.etat.lu
