It appears that there has been a certain amount of success in taking your grievances to the street. After Luxembourg's students joined the global climate marches on 15 March, prime minister Xavier Bettel invited a delegation of the "Youth for Climate" movement to meet on Monday.

It is not yet clear whether students will continue to protest on Fridays, but Bettel expressed an openness to discuss the issues that young people have with the government climate policies.

Specifically, the government is setting up consultations in secondary schools, enabling pupils to discuss the issues constructively with members of the government. The main topic of these consultations will, of course, be global warming.

The interactive consultations are being organised in collaboration with the national students conference (Cnel).

As well as reminding the delegation of his government's measures to protect the environment, Bettel praised the students' mobilisation for a topic they feel passionate about.
