
However, the steel corporation decided to relaunch production, in order to ensure the continuity of economic activity and to serve the interests of their stakeholders, according to a statement released on Tuesday. The company said they would continue to follow a series of enhanced hygiene measures to comply with current regulations.
Production continues to remain on hold at the sites in Bissen and Dommeldange, due to increased absences amongst staff members due to self-isolation, sick leave, or childcare.
The plant in Bissen decided to suspend its activity from 25 March to 1 April inclusive, while the Dommeldange site is closed until 2 April. During this period, activities have been reduced to the strict minimum.
